The study is devoted to the current problem of developing a methodology for teaching Japanese to 4th year students at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (NRU HSE), Moscow, Russia. A two-component composition of the written aspect is proposed, consisting of the practical development of a large block of relevant and modern business vocabulary and epistolary style (translation of business documentation). The goal is to establish and maintain business contacts with business partners between Russia and Japan. The results showed students achieving a high professional level in speaking and writing Japanese, as demonstrated in the final state exam.
