Cervical dystonia (CD) is a common form of dystonia in adults that affects the neck and shoulder muscles, causing repetitive, clonic, and tonic movements that result in abnormal head posture. Apart from motor symptoms, it can also cause non-motor symptoms such as pain and psychological disorders and affect quality of life. Differential diagnosis should be made using clinical evaluation scales, and some tests should be planned to exclude secondary causes. Treatment options should be chosen according to the patient and comorbid conditions. If BoNT treatment is to be performed, the right muscles and appropriate doses must be selected. That’s why it’s essential to get diagnosed early and start being treated as soon as possible.
