In this chapter, we describe psychiatric disorders associated with dysregulation of the self-control axis. We present the HSHA syndrome or feline ADHD and addictive behaviors. HSHA syndrome is described with several subtypes: hypersensitive, hyperreactive, or mixed. For each condition, the clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and follow-up are detailed, with clinical vignettes included to enhance the text.
