In this chapter, we describe normal and pathological psychological states. The latter can be categorized into four groups: emotional states, which include phobic and anxious states; mood pathological states, comprising manic, depressive, and bipolar states; cognitive pathological states, concerning executive functions, which include impulsive and compulsive self-control deficits; and derealization states, which encompass senile and dissociative states.
