Open-source development has revolutionized software creation, allowing a collaborative and transparent approach to building innovative solutions. However, traditional methods of managing GitHub repositories present challenges such as centralized decision-making and slow development cycles. In this paper, I propose a novel solution utilizing the Ethereum blockchain and a Chrome browser extension to decentralize pull request management on GitHub. My approach empowers the community to vote on the acceptance or rejection of pull requests, incentivizing good decisions through financial rewards. I introduce a protocol that integrates smart contracts and stake-based voting to ensure transparent and democratic governance of open-source projects. Through a detailed explanation of our protocol and implementation, I demonstrate how blockchain technology can transform the landscape of open-source development. Additionally, I discuss future research directions, including qualitative studies on community acceptance and exploring alternative architectures for improved reliability. My research contributes to advancing decentralized development practices and fosters innovation in the open-source ecosystem.

摘要
