The adoption of data-driven supply chain systems and predictive analytics is fast becoming the most preferred, reliable, and trusted administration solution in modern healthcare institutions. Data-driven supply chain systems are integral to healthcare institutions since they are core to the procurement process, as they enable better service delivery. An integrated, data-driven supply chain system encompasses predictive analytics and artificial intelligence, as well as data analysis, data modeling, and process simulation. Studies conducted on past pandemics, epidemics and natural disasters reveal that healthcare institutions and federal governments struggle to contain the situation. In many instances, supply chain systems are overwhelmed, resulting in chaotic administration and unnecessary casualties. This study investigates the role of data-driven supply chain systems in healthcare institutions, particularly during a pandemic or disaster. The researchers adopted a systematic literature review research methodology. The study offers a scientific analysis of the role played by data-driven supply chain systems in the healthcare sector. The study establishes that data-driven supply chain systems provide a holistic view, flexibility, agility and real-time information to solve complex business problems during situations such as pandemics or disasters, justifying the need to adopt integrated data-driven supply chain systems.

摘要
