Digital games are an integral part of contemporary culture, yet they face significant privacy challenges, including inadequate data collection, complex privacy policies, and insufficient guidance for players, even amidst regulations such as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and LGPD. The limited awareness among designers and developers, coupled with reliance on third-party tools, exacerbates these risks, particularly for vulnerable populations. To address this issue, we propose Pri4Gamers, an approach designed to support designers in reflecting on personal data protection during the initial stages of game development, such as within a Game Design Document (GDD). We evaluated Pri4Gamers through interviews with eight game designers, which revealed that privacy is rarely considered in GDDs. The identified challenges include a lack of training, dependence on third-party tools, and the absence of practical guidelines. Although Pri4Gamers demonstrated the capacity to enhance awareness, the scarcity of practical examples limits its effectiveness. Our contribution highlights the necessity of integrating privacy into design and provides documentary models to guide decisions, although clear communication with players remains a persistent challenge.

摘要
