Pathogenesis of Vitiligo
摘要
Vitiligo is a common, acquired depigmenting disorder of the skin, manifesting as chalky white noninflammatory macules and patches on the skin or mucous membranes or both. It occurs due to destruction or absence of melanocytes in the basal layer of the skin. It is broadly classified into non-segmental and segmental types, with subvariants that include acrofacial, mucosal, generalized, universal, and mixed types [1].
