A Review About Blockchain-Based Decentralized Identity Management for Citizen Identification

This literature review seeks to explore existing solutions for decentralized identity management systems utilizing blockchain technology, with a focus on their application to citizen identification in Cameroon. By analyzing recent research and case studies, the review aims to identify key trends, best practices, and challenges in blockchain-based identity systems. The objective is to assess how these systems can address the inefficiencies, security concerns, and issuance delays currently plaguing the identity card issuance process in Cameroon. The review also considers the potential benefits of a decentralized approach in enhancing governance, ensuring secure citizen identification, and fostering social and economic inclusion in Cameroon.
