The modern world revolves around information. The ability to capture, store, transmit, and process data is growing exponentially, affecting virtually every aspect of life, including university life. This article presents ‘MyCampus’– the concept of a data-oriented smart university campus. Its central elements are a campus information collection center and a communication platform. The center receives sensory data from cameras, IoT sensors, sensors monitoring the functioning of infrastructure networks, and text and voice requests from users. A communication platform integrating user services, including a mobile application, receives the latter. The center’s role is to aggregate, archive, and share the data. The data is made available for the daily operation of the campus and research purposes by the teams working on the campus. The system can anticipate potential problems and manage crises through advanced data analysis and data processing algorithms. The project involves the academic community designing and implementing new functionalities, aiming to adapt the system to the real needs of users.
