The acceleration of scientific and technological progress worldwide is accompanied by an increase in industrial waste volumes and pollution of the planetary ecosystem, which underlines the relevance of this research. The paper presents the main provisions for transforming the national waste management system by implementing the principles of a circular economy in the economic activities of enterprises. The authors hypothesize that the clustering of industrial enterprises based on industrial symbiosis will contribute to achieving the main goals of introducing the fundamental principles of a circular economy into production, which is particularly relevant for enterprises in the aerospace industry.
