Problems of Import Substitution of CAD Systems at a Technical University
摘要
The use of commercial and free software for the organization of training sessions for students on courses of geometric modeling at the Department of Engineering Graphics and graduate departments of Bauman Moscow State Technical University showed that the two-level organization of work is more promising: at the basic level of training, it is more convenient to use commercial software, and at the level of design and scientific work, it is important actively use free software and expand its functionality to the level necessary in the educational process. The commercial domestic CAD product Compass-3D v20 has been tested. The paper considers the problems of transition of the general education and graduate departments of Bauman Moscow State Technical University to the use of domestic software and software with open licenses in the educational process. The results of comparative testing of the Compass-3D v20 CAD system and a reference software product (Autodesk Inventor Professional 2018) are presented, on the basis of which a decision was made to use this software product in the educational process of the Engineering Graphics Department. The experiment of the Department of Engineering Graphics shows that the Compass-3D v20 system as an import substitution is the most promising for use at the basic level of training, sinse it allows you to master the basic rules for building three-dimensional models and design documentation.
