In recent years, there has been an increase in the interest of the scientific community in studying the mechanisms of development of industrial ecosystems. Unlike the cluster approach, the network forms of interaction between the participants in such systems imply greater flexibility in using various business models focused on sustainable development, resource and energy conservation through the introduction of closed technological and biological cycles, as well as social responsibility. The paper presents the results of an analysis of the prerequisites and expediency of further improving the mechanisms of public–private partnership based on circular business models in order to create an industrial ecosystem based on the concept of Industry 5.0.
