This study explores the potential and strategic approach to transforming cultural content creation materials—derived from the diaries of real individuals from the Joseon Dynasty and currently featured in the Story Theme Park operated by the Korean Studies Institute—into virtual reality (VR) content. To this end, the study examines the technical characteristics of VR, its applications in cultural heritage restoration, and its convergence with narrative-based content. It further analyzes the features of the Story Theme Park materials, assesses their adaptability to VR by content type, and reviews comparable case studies. Based on these findings, the study proposes practical solutions for immersive content development, including storyline composition, user experience (UX) design, technological implementation, and global dissemination strategies.
