Case Study Number 3: Socratic Circles as a Values Based Instructional Scaffold
摘要
The values based instructional scaffold of Socratic Circles scrutinizes commonly held beliefs by way of questioning to determine their internal consistency and their coherence with other beliefs in an attempt to bring everyone involved as close to a consensus as possible. This case study illustrates how the scaffold gives students a sense of personal agency and solidarity in the face of the existential challenges facing the world today.
