This chapter explores the evolution of 4ZZZ’s unique approaches to governance and fundraising, focusing on its hallmark Radiothon campaign and the station’s commitment to listener-funded, independent media. Beginning with the accidental erasure of Radiothon endorsements in 1986 and the spontaneous creation of the enduring “Warm Inner Glow” slogan, the chapter traces the growth of Radiothon into a cornerstone of 4ZZZ’s culture and financial sustainability. Simultaneously, it examines the radical decision-making structures that once defined the station, particularly the consensus-driven Collective model, born from 1970s activist politics. While the Collective fostered inclusivity, it also became a source of internal conflict, evolving alongside the station’s fluctuating financial and organisational needs. By the 2000s, shifting volunteer demographics and practical demands led to the gradual dissolution of the Collective, replaced by a more conventional management structure and active Board of Directors. Balancing idealism with pragmatism, ‘Decisions, Decisions, Decisions’ reflects on how 4ZZZ has sustained its values while adapting to changing times.

摘要
