Active Ownership in Asset Management
摘要
This chapter examines the rise of institutional investors as the dominant shareholders in global markets, holding 43% of market capitalization in 2022, and the emergence of Active Ownership as a critical practice in asset management. With increasing regulatory focus and frameworks like stewardship codes, asset managers leverage tools such as proxy voting, shareholder resolutions, and engagement to influence corporate governance and promote sustainable practices. These strategies not only align with fiduciary responsibilities but also drive long-term value creation and accountability, addressing systemic risks and enhancing transparency through robust reporting standards.
