In today's business environment marked by high volatility and uncertainty, manufacturing companies should have capabilities that enable them to adapt to new conditions and seize new opportunities. Dynamic capabilities represent a framework that allows a company to improve its organizational performance and attain a competitive edge. Their effects are enhanced by digital manufacturing capabilities, are associated with digital technologies, and can assist in the transition toward smarter production and the implementation of Industry 5.0. The metrics for determining the level of a company’s dynamic capabilities is a demanding field that has not been sufficiently studied or uniformly defined to date. This paper presents a multi-dimensional structure to measure and explore the dynamic capabilities. It can facilitate the digital transition of manufacturing companies, as it contains components necessary for the transformation of organizational processes and adequate business management necessary for the implementation of smart manufacturing and the transformation towards Industry 5.0.
