The paper attempts a phenomenological reconstruction of Villoro’s theory of values that underlines his approach to the problem of justice. In contrast to formalist approaches based on the theory of rational choice or the reconstruction of normative rationality departing from the principles of discourse Ethics, Villoro suggests an alternative that takes as its point of departure the historical experiences of injustices as the axis that allows us to glimpse an elucidation of the notion of justice via negativa. Villoro’s approach is not far from other philosophical perspectives that start from experiences and contexts of injustice such as those of Axel Honneth or Nancy Fraser, however Villoro’s inspiration is Husserl’s theory of value, which opens the way to a reconsideration of Husserl’s ethics as a complement to Villoro’s disruptive Ethics.
