The preceding chapters demonstrate that among different nations in Southern Africa, one trait they share is that their cultural values are at times incompatible with the basic assumptions that are generally made by mainstream theories from the West. This supports Laurent who reported, “Deep seated managerial assumptions are strongly shaped by national cultures…” (Laurent, 1983, p. 75).
