The debunking arguments in favour of idealism can defend themselves against a variety of realist concerns and has the general structure of a transcendental argument. The chapter shows that the puzzles concerning ordinary objects are not always solved in a strict logical sense but by providing an explanation of how they come about by the subject’s flexible mechanisms of carving up reality to what makes it most predictable.
