Digital Story Experiences for Affective Engagement
摘要
As a modern form of narrative, digital storytelling uses multimedia to promote engagement and reflection in cultural heritage. However, producing effective experiences requires both subject expertise and storytelling skill. Supporting creators can be through (i) “augmented” documentation, i.e., enriched records that add interpretive context to descriptive data, offering both inspiration and source material, and (ii) tailor-made AI-based tools to support the creative process. This abstract and associated keynote talk explore story-centric experience design, focusing on agency, sociality, and personalization in interactive narratives. They draw on examples in mobile, web, desktop, and immersive VR environments to show how technology can deepen engagement with heritage.
