Today, with the development of bipolar energy, the improvements in endoscopic instruments, safe and effective distending media, and surgeon experience, hysteroscopy has become the gold-standard technique for both diagnosis and treatment of intrauterine pathologies. The advances in technology and techniques, making hysteroscopy less painful and less invasive, have allowed the performance of an increasing number of procedures in an office setting.
