Breast Diseases
摘要
Female breast cancer is the most commonly occurring cancer worldwide. In Europe, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer, accounting for 13.1% of all cancer diagnoses, and the leading cause of death in women. Breast-c0onserving surgery and mastectomy are equivalent procedures. Three diagnostic modalities are available for differentiating between benign and malignant: mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI. Breast diseases, such as fibroadenoma or nipple discharge, are frequent in daily routine. Core biopsy and ductoscopy are the procedures used. Papilloma is the most common diagnosis in nipple discharge patients without palpable masses. While fibroadenomas are common in the general population, affecting 10–20% of women, they are rarely early-onset, multiple, and bilateral. In four cases, we removed more than 70 fibroadenomas utilizing the modified Ribeiro-Technique by Rezai. Breast-conserving surgery is equivalent to mastectomy. Breast conserving may include oncological, oncoplastic, or reconstructive procedures, depending on the complexity grades. Depending on the defect’s location, several techniques may be utilized, ranging from local to distant flaps. Choice of techniques mainly considers minimizing the damage and cosmesis at the end of surgery.
