Cyber Resilience Strategies Against Ransomware in SCADA Systems for Oil and Gas Operations
摘要
Oil and gas companies automate and monitor critical jobs via SCADA systems. But ransomware assaults can happen because they use old and new tech. These attacks can halt work and endanger lives. This paper examines SCADA weaknesses, ransomware evolution, and critical infrastructure. This article aims to solve problems such as resource shortages, IT-OT integration, and restrictions. The essay advocates proactive risk assessments, AI risk detection, and NERC guidelines to make systems more resilient. Incident response plans are crucial to keep SCADA systems safe and ensure that energy sector activities run smoothly. Oil and gas operations generally involve cybersecurity, OT, IT, key infrastructure, risk assessment, threat detection, AI-driven cybersecurity, NERC compliance, and incident response.
