Dual Trust for Probe Attack Detection and Security Technique to Wedge Malicious Continuous Prevalence in MANET

Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a network in which attackers can easily modify or infect network performance due to the lack of centralized administration. Every node in MANET performs the sender, receiver, and intermediate node roles. In this open network, security is the major part of the consideration. The routing has the main benefit of reducing overhead and maintenance of routing, in the network by proving an alternative path if the already established path fails in communication. In this paper, we majorly highlight the behaviour of probe attacks and propose a flooding-based defines scheme, i.e., Dual Trust for Probe Attack Detection and Security (DTPS) against Probe attacks in MANET. Reliable security schemes always provide a secure path in an attacker’s presence, and multipath routing provides an alternative path for routing. The DTPS uses hash authentication to block the attacker’s presence in the network. The probe attacker slowly injects the packets into the network, and this packet quantity is rapidly enhanced according to time instance. After some time, the attacker consumes the link capacity so that communication is jammed. The proposed DTPS scheme identifies the unwanted attacker node based on unwanted flooding behaviour during communication. The performance of the proposed DTPS is compared to that of the NTMM scheme, proving secure communication in MANET. The proposed scheme continuously monitoring the activities of all associate nodes in the network and the malicious nodes’ activities are completely different from normal nodes’ activities, and they do not behave like normal nodes. The attacker infection according to time instance is enhanced by DTPS control.
