Prolonged QT Interval and Cardiac Arrest
摘要
It was common knowledge that Sofia, among the female attendings, was Bipolar. With therapy and medication, she appeared to be normal. Her relative hypomania at times was transparent. She never had a moment of depression at work, yet most of her colleagues did not know if depression cycled in outside of work. On a night out with girls of the department, she collapsed off a bar stool. She already had too much to drink, but she did not try to break her fall. Sofia was not breathing and was pulseless. Lily screamed out, “call 911.” Lily opened Sophia’s purse. There were full vials of Lamictal and Klonopin, but her quetiapine vial was empty.
