The increasing integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI)—systems simulating human intelligence (Wang et al., 2025)—into society marks a significant transformation for higher education. Generative AI (GenAI), capable of producing novel content (Zheng et al., 2025), signals a move towards a Fifth Industrial Revolution (5IR) defined by enhanced human-machine and Human-AI Collaboration (HAIC), intended to augment human capabilities (Ziatdinov et al., 2024). While AI adoption can raise concerns about automation, this transition demands a proactive, human-centric approach to AI development and application, empowering individuals and enhancing their skills (Shneiderman, 2022). As detailed in Chap. 16 , navigating this transition effectively requires HEIs to cultivate an institutional environment where AI literacy is fundamental for all members (Adobe, 2025; Lo, 2025), signifying a deep, systemic integration beyond surface-level training (Brady, 2024).

摘要
