The Architecture, Engineering, and Construction sector faces significant challenges in adapting to industry transformations. A highly effective approach to addressing these challenges is adopting Building Information Modeling (BIM), which is more commonly embraced by government and nonprofit organizations. As society continues to evolve, the role of civil engineering is becoming increasingly important, making integrating new technologies, such as BIM, essential. The greatest challenge in the construction industry is the resistance to change, particularly the reluctance to move away from traditional problem-solving methods. While it is crucial to retain well-established approaches, embracing contemporary trends can significantly enhance efficiency. Implementing an information model for buildings with revision capabilities improves safety and quality. Standardization is necessary in Europe, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as research (interviews) demonstrates. The transition to a BIM environment presents certain challenges. However, it enables skilled engineers to provide clients with high accuracy and efficiency, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of construction projects.
