Traditional methods of maintaining cadastral records, though effective, have been increasingly challenged by the modern methods and their fast and cost-effective process of creation of cadastral maps. This paper provides an overview of modern methods for maintaining cadastral records, and discusses the benefits, challenges, and best practices associated with the adoption of these modern techniques. By analyzing current trends and case studies, this overview highlights the evolving landscape of cadastral record-keeping and its potential for improving land governance. Additionally, the paper provides a discussion of the results of these new methods within the framework of cadastral surveying regulations in the Federation of B&H, offering insight into how these practices are being applied in this specific context.
