Treating Religious Scrupulosity in Jewish Youth: A Culturally Sensitive CBT Approach
摘要
This chapter explores culturally sensitive adaptations of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), particularly exposure and response prevention (ERP), for treating religious scrupulosity in Jewish youth. Religious scrupulosity involves intrusive religious fears and compulsive rituals that interfere with religious observance and impact mental health. This chapter outlines how assessment and cognitive-behavioral treatment of RS can be adapted for Jewish youth, integrating cultural awareness to reduce OCD symptoms and help children and teens develop a healthy, fulfilling relationship with their Jewish faith.
