Orbitorium: Designing and Curating a Digital Space Museum for Educational Engagement
摘要
This chapter presents Orbitorium, a digital museum designed to engage audiences with the wonders of space exploration through immersive technologies. Built on the FrameVR platform, Orbitorium exemplifies the transformative potential of digital museums in educational outreach. The museum merges interactive exhibits, 3D models, and multimedia content to make complex astronomical concepts accessible to diverse audiences, from educators to students. Anchored in modern museology principles, the project explores the integration of interactivity, inclusivity, and human-computer interaction principles in curating digital spaces. The chapter discusses the design process, technical challenges, and opportunities for enhancing public engagement with science through virtual spaces. Orbitorium reflects broader trends in digital cultural management, showcasing how innovative platforms can democratize access to knowledge and foster deeper scientific literacy.
