Subcritical Reactor
摘要
A subcritical reactor with an independent neutron source tends towards a stationary state, in which the neutron source permanently makes up the deficit of neutrons between two generations. This chapter shows how the flux shape depends on the location of the sources and the subcriticality of the reactor. It highlights the impact the location of the sources can have on the inverse multiplication curve during approach to criticality. A deep explanation of the flux shape in a subcritical reactor will be provided in the chapter Highlighting of harmonics.
