Uncovering Tensions in Trust in Technology
摘要
Trust is a concept of growing importance in human-computer interaction. It is multi-layered, encompassing both predispositions and behaviors, reflecting decisions and actions in interactions with technology. This complexity leads to tensions: situations where users’ trust does not align with the technology’s actual capabilities. This workshop aims to bring together researchers and practitioners in the field of human-computer interaction to discuss tensions in trust in technology across different domains, explore a procedure inspired by the Z-Inspection method to examine these tensions, and establish an interdisciplinary collaborative working group around the topic of trust in technology. The target audience for the workshop includes researchers, interaction designers, and other practitioners of human-computer interaction who have encountered or investigated trust-related tensions in technology.
