Handling personal data in software applications is increasingly common and has raised several concerns about users’ privacy, particularly regarding transparency. Transparency is a key challenge, as technical information must be presented in a perceivable, objective, and understandable way. Few methods exist in the literature for inspecting and classifying transparency. This work presents Privacy Tool, an application designed to support developers and users in examining and classifying the transparency of software applications. The tool is structured as a checklist, based on the TR-Model and Six Heuristics for Usable Privacy. It provides a simple and efficient way to assess transparency and assign a score/classification to evaluated applications.

摘要
