Positionality in HCI: Assessing and Addressing EDI Needs in Research, Education and Practice
摘要
Reflecting on our identities, and how we position ourselves in a social, professional or educational context, is a valuable skill for Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). It helps us to understand factors that shape our perspectives and expectations, and it can have an impact on how we design and evaluate technology, how we represent and address users in design research. This course will present and discuss how existing tools and frameworks can help to identify Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) needs in HCI research, education and practice.
