Co-designing an Inclusive Application to Support Daily Activities of People with Cognitive Disabilities
摘要
Many digital technologies remain inaccessible to people with cognitive disabilities, often due to poor support for memory, symbolic comprehension, and interface consistency. This study presents the participatory development of a mobile application designed to support daily task management through inclusive interaction strategies. Developed collaboratively with 24 users, the application integrates time-based task filtering, simplified iconography, and multimodal feedback (audio and video). Field testing revealed improvements in comprehension, engagement, and autonomy–particularly when users interacted with consistent navigation patterns and received personalized verbal prompts. Our findings emphasize the value of inclusive design practices grounded in user participation and contextual understanding.
