Echocardiography plays a central role in the assessment of aortic stenosis (AS), selection of patients for transcatheter aortic valve intervention (TAVI), intraprocedural assistance, and subsequent post-procedural follow-up. Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging is not mandatory but can be useful in the prognostic evaluation and post-procedural follow-up of patients in case of significant residual paravalvular leaks (PVLs). The purpose of this chapter is to provide interventional cardiologists with the essential concepts of multimodal imaging assessment of patients who are candidates for TAVI.

摘要
