The Role of Leadership in Sustainable Entrepreneurship
摘要
This study examines the impact of leadership and future trends in sustainable entrepreneurship, drawing on extensive archival research and theoretical frameworks. It highlights the multidimensional nature of sustainable leadership, emphasizing economic, social, and environmental performance beyond traditional financial metrics. Using the Triple Bottom Line framework and various sustainability indicators, the study examines successful examples, including Interface, Nestlé, and Tesla, illustrating how visionary leadership drives organizational transformation toward sustainability. Additionally, the research explores emerging leadership paradigms—including systemic, adaptive, and collective leadership—that are essential to navigating the complexity and uncertainty of today’s sustainability challenges. Additionally, this study investigates the role of local leadership in promoting farmer participation in sustainable agricultural value chains in rural Iran, utilizing the Theory of Planned Behavior as a framework. Results from this case study confirm that local leadership significantly enhances farmers’ behavioral intentions by fostering trust, coordination, and access to resources. The main contribution of the study lies in integrating theoretical insights with practical examples to provide a comprehensive understanding of the evolving role of sustainable leadership. It offers guidance for policymakers and business leaders to develop leadership models that align profitability with social and environmental responsibility, preparing organizations to thrive in the next era of sustainable entrepreneurship.
