Resilient Transition in Times of Crisis: Opportunity Pathways from Harare and Lusaka
摘要
This chapter examines the notion of urban resilience and the importance of citizens’ investment and resilience responses to shocks and disasters. The chapter details two crises of COVID-19 and the economic crisis of Zimbabwe spread across two decades, in Lusaka and Harare respectively, to explore how urban residents have navigated these challenges. Looking deeply into citizen-led resilience, the chapter offers a range of strategic, institutional, and civic tools for managing change and capitalising on opportunities amidst disruption.
