Not many universities worldwide claim to be recognized among quality institutions of higher education. Only a select few have achieved significant international accreditations and rankings due to the depth and breadth of their academic programs, scientific research, applied research, and quality services. This chapter discusses the role and importance of accreditations and rankings in higher education institutions, focusing on success factors, key performance indicators, and the challenges associated with these accreditations and rankings.
