Strategic Alignment of Academic Programs with National Vision and Global Standards
摘要
As the world changes quickly, higher education institutions (HEIs) are under more and more pressure to make sure that their academic programs fit in with both national development plans and international frameworks like the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) and the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). This chapter examines the strategic design and implementation of programs by HEIs that align with national objectives for research, innovation, and sustainable economic growth, while also fulfilling the stringent requirements of regulatory authorities. Accreditation organizations now need verifiable indicators and full reporting systems. This means that HEIs must deal with the difficulties of educational reform while still being relevant, high-quality, and having a positive effect on society. The chapter talks about how to include principles of sustainability and responsibility into school curricula. It also discusses the main challenges that hinder the integration of sustainability in academia and gives useful tips through case studies from countries around the world. The chapter concludes by outlining a roadmap for academic institutions to become catalysts for sustainable and inclusive development through the strategic alignment of their offerings with broader policy and global priorities.
