The study examines the constitution of the multiple-skin façades systems according to the scientific classification based on a functional, typological and constructive identification. The multiple-skin façades systems are analyzed respect to the experimental and in prototype form applications, the performances to the environmental loads and the physical, passive and active procedures of capturing the convective flows within the cavity inside the double-skins. The study focuses on the specific constitution of the sustainable methods in the form of the box-windows systems, of the shape systems, of the shaft-box systems and of the corridor systems. The configuration of the building envelope systems that function interactively and reactively with respect to the external environmental loads is articulated with respect to the procedures of capturing, transmitting (in the interior spaces) and expelling the convective airflows; at the same time, the functional configuration observes the possibilities of realizing thermal and acoustic buffers to increase the performance of the façade together with the reduction of the consumption for the climatization needs. The study focuses on the experimental and customized constitution procedures of building systems, components, elements and technical interfaces. In this respect, the scientific development is determined by the explanation of the functional devices aggregated to the façade modules (applied to the perimeter curtains or generated in the form of unit systems) that allow the interaction with external climatic stresses and comfort requirements in the interior spaces. Therefore, the analysis is expressed through an in-depth study of the construction methods, connection types and equipment that configure multi-layer façade systems and environmental devices with integrated and passive functioning.

摘要
