The optimization of aircraft maintenance is a critical aspect of the aviation industry, significantly influencing maintenance planning and flight scheduling. This study aims to enhance the reliability, availability, and safety of aircraft while reducing operational costs. To achieve these objectives, the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is employed as an efficient tool for balancing cost optimization and intervention planning. Simulation results highlight the algorithm’s ability to minimize maintenance interruptions, ensuring smoother operations and better resource utilization. A comparative analysis further demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed objective function in improving overall system performance by optimizing preparation efficiency and scheduling, albeit with an increase in costs.
