The article discusses the main aspects of electronic payments, including popular payment methods, such as bank cards, electronic wallets, cryptocurrencies and instant transfer systems. The key risks associated with the security of transactions, including phishing, fraud, data leakage, and threats caused by the use of vulnerable software solutions, are identified and analyzed. Special attention is paid to modern protection technologies, such as two-factor authentication, tokenization, data encryption and fraud detection systems based on artificial intelligence. The role of international standards and regulatory requirements, such as PCI DSS, in ensuring transaction security is emphasized. The prospects for the development of electronic payments, including the integration of blockchain technologies, biometric authentication and other innovative solutions capable of minimizing risks for consumers and businesses, are justified.
