Automation of the Supply Chain as a Factor of Sustainable Business Development

In the modern context of globalization and digital transformation, automation of supply chains is becoming a key factor in sustainable business development. The article discusses the main aspects of implementing automated technologies in supply chain management, including the use of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain. It is substantiated that automation helps improve the efficiency of logistics processes, reduce costs, reduce the carbon footprint, and increase resilience to external challenges, such as economic crises or changes in demand. Particular attention is paid the role of automation in ensuring supply chain transparency, improving control over resources, and minimizing the risks associated with supply disruptions. Practical examples of successful implementation of automated solutions in various industries, such as manufacturing, retail, and logistics, are structured. Potential barriers associated with the implementation of automation are substantiated, including the need for significant investments, changes in the organizational structure, and employee adaptation to new technologies. It is shown that supply chain automation not only contributes to sustainable business development, but also plays an important role in forming competitive advantages in the long term. The main results of the study are of value to specialists in the fields of logistics, management and sustainable development.
