As the global community readies for the UN-sponsored Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Agenda 2030, in a few years, so also are the questions about attaining the lofty and worthy goals (UNDP, 2015). In a context of global inequality, the SDGs are hostage to the global divide between the Global North and the Global South. While the global COVID-19 pandemic from 2020 to 2022, no doubt, affected the development momentum of all countries, several countries, including those on the African continent, continue to position themselves towards Agenda 2030.
