This method is particularly useful for reaching the parafalcine and paraventricular regions and contralateral approaches through the midline [1]. The first descriptions referred to Dandy’s posterior approach to the pineal region, and progressively, new anterior approaches were published [1]. Yasargil described the interhemispheric approach for the resection of frontoparietal AVM [2]. The interhemispheric approach can also include access to the sellar and suprasellar regions via the interfrontal route [1, 3].
