The Interhemispheric Approach
摘要
The interhemispheric approach is a surgical technique that provides access to deep midline brain structures by navigating through the interhemispheric fissure. This method is particularly useful for reaching the parafalcine and paraventricular regions and contralateral approaches through the midline [1]. The first descriptions referred to Dandy’s posterior approach to the pineal region, and progressively, new anterior approaches were published [1]. Yasargil described the interhemispheric approach for the resection of frontoparietal AVM [2]. The interhemispheric approach can also include access to the sellar and suprasellar regions via the interfrontal route [1, 3].
