In the last century, the women’s emancipation movement unfolded in multiple waves. Together, they laid the groundwork for new avenues for social change in contemporary China. These efforts enabled more women in China to recognize their rights and pushed them to voice their concerns and needs. While I admit that major progress has been made, the path to real equality remains challenging.
