It also presents strategic design principles—like appropriate anthropomorphism and long-term relationship evolution frameworks—that support sustained, adaptive, and psychologically coherent AI–human partnerships. Through both current practices and speculative futures, the discussion emphasises that emotional and relational competence in AI must be grounded in ethical restraint, contextual sensitivity, and transparent interaction.
